Home - School Partnership
Homework – Set it! Do it! Mark it!
We have a clear, agreed Homework Policy, which is sent home annually. Parental support for homework is an important symbol of good Home – School relationships. Homework is set in support of work done in school and provides good discipline.
A copy of the Homework Policy is with the School Prospectus.
Home – School Partnership Agreement
Each year we all – teachers, children and parents – sign the Home-School partnership Agreement. It underpins our work together and sets out all our responsibilities for ensuring each child achieves his/her best.
A sample copy of the Home/School Partnership Agreement can be found in the School Prospectus.
Reports to Parents
There are two Parent Consultation Evenings within the academic year, one in autumn and one in spring. At the first, teachers will discuss how your child has settled into his/her class and agree with the parent a set of targets for the academic year. This is reviewed at the second Consultation Evening held in February. At both meetings you will be able to see samples of your child’s work.
A written report is sent home to parents at the end of each academic year. This is revised annually to ensure it meets the needs of parents. We aim to give parents the story of their child’s year in school.
