Safeguarding

At Ashlands Primary School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all children and adults and we expect everyone in our community to share this commitment.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Donna Russell – Headteacher

Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Ms Kathy Raine – Deputy Head and Mrs Joanne Shepherd – Assistant Head

The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding is Ms Roya Helme

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact school on 01943 609050 and and ask to speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead. All calls are dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Ashlands is part of the Moorlands Learning Trust and the Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy is held centrally. It can be found here.

At times it might be necessary to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

If you have a safeguarding concern about an adult in school, please contact the Headteacher.  If you have a safeguarding concern about the Headteacher, please contact Mrs Annet Nottingham annet.nottingham@ashlands.school
